Return to Work programme

AIG Life is proud to be part of a ground-breaking cross-insurance return to work programme. Aimed at anyone who has had a career break of two years or more, this programme provides people with a smooth and supported transition back to professional life.

Many women take time out of their careers, often due to caring responsibilities and finding a way to reignite their careers can be challenging. Increasingly, we know that men take career breaks too and this programme is open to all professionals.

The programme runs for six months and there are opportunities in a range of disciplines, including Underwriting, Broking, Claims, Actuarial, Risk, IT, Change, Business Operations, Compliance and Marketing.

What to expect

The programme is being co-ordinated by Inclusivity, experts in returning talent. They use a tailored assessment process which acknowledges the full breadth of a candidate’s experience and understands that breaks should not be career limiting.

Successful candidates will receive:

  • A thorough training, onboarding and induction process to set them up for success
  • One-to-one coaching from specialist coaches throughout the six month programme
  • A mentor and buddy who will support them on the ground, to ease their transition back to the workplace
  • Regular networking and communication sessions within AIG Life and across the cohort of returners

Applications are open now and participants will start work in September. The closing date for applications is 5th May.

The programme lasts for six months and the hope is that participants will transition to a permanent role at the end of this contract.

How to apply

The programme is open to anyone with relevant professional experience who is looking to return after a career break of two years or more.
