We’ll ask for some information about you and your illness. Please also try and have your policy number to hand. We’ll arrange to call you back at an agreed time.
You’ll talk to one of our experienced Claims Assessors and we’ll agree the best way to get the medical evidence to support your claim. If you can, please have ready the details of your diagnosis, your doctors’ contact details and any copies of medical letters you may have. We’ll also ask you some information about your occupation and employment.
Afterwards, we’ll send you a statement of our conversation - you won’t need to complete a claim form.
We usually have this conversation over the phone so that we can get started on your claim as soon as possible. But if you’d rather complete a claim form yourself, please let us know and we’ll send one to you.
Leave it to us. We’ll collect any medical information we need to assess your claim and will keep you informed throughout.
While we assess your claim, please continue paying your premiums.
Once we’ve agreed to pay your claim, you’ll need to continue paying your premiums until the deferred period has ended. When your deferred period ends, we’ll start paying your premiums for you.
